The
most memorable summer holidays that I ever had was a
travel through the snowy
mountains of Gangtok.
During
my childhood days I use to hear and read many stories and the most I loved is
about the castles, sculptures, mountains made with the white snow. But due to the
passage of time I started forcing my mind to understand that those stories were
only imaginary or those are the stories thrown from the writers mind.
Later,
on my 10th grade summer vaccation we planned to visit Gangtok the
capital of Sikkim. The place which the gigantic mountains had a snowy cap on
their head. When I saw those mountains I started travelling to my childhood
days in which I read a lot about the things made with snow. But then also I had
a disappointment that I could’nt see any such castles or sculptures in Gangtok.
I felt very sad that I could see nothing but huge mountains with snow.
Next
day we went for sightseeing. The hotel which we stayed for the last night had
provided a car for us and a guide too. The guide started to explain each and
every places we pass by. I was very much depressed and I really felt like
throwing that guide outside . I really don’t know what he did and not only that
he was very innocent. What can he do if no places made with snow are not there
in Sikkim. Suddently he turned to me and said there is a buddist temple half of
the part is made using the milky snow.My face became bright and something
pulled my lips from both the sides. After 1 hour we reached their and it was a
great, happiest, moment that I ever had in my whole life because the things
which I forced my mind to believe imaginary came in reality.
From
their we visited a place known as yumthang where we have to walk through the
snowy mountains and a place known as zero point too
It was
about noon after we visited my dream place and the guide took us to a chineese restaurant
where the guide taught us to have food with chopstick. Even if we don’t have
the patience to eat with two sticks without disappointing the guide we three
had our lunch and came back to Sikkim town.
